Well, website updates have been slow…mainly because since January I’ve been working with Sony at their studio in Darlinghurst, so have had my hands full with that!
As well as working as the inhouse engineer, I’ve also been involved in updating their studio – spending someone else’s money in other words. Very exciting…new hardware, new software, updated computer rigs and rebuilding monitors are just some of the jobs being sorted out.
In recording news, the biggest job was a single with Ricky Martin (yep – THE Ricky Martin!). Which hopefully you’ve heard by now – it was launched on The Voice and reached a very respectable #3 on the Australian charts (and has also gone Gold). Very exciting, and not a bad achievement to get a credit like that, almost a year to the day after arriving in Australia!
As well as my work with Sony, I’m in the processes of finishing an EP with a singer/guitarist called Adil Memon (first single “Official” now viewable on my Youtube channel, psycho_monkey_music) and starting EPs with High-Tails and Eden’s March, 2 unsigned Sydney bands. Watch this space!
